About team Triplets
Since Triplets Captain Joe Johnson came into the BIG3, the rest of the league has had few answers for the combination of “Iso-Joe” and Hall of Fame Coach Lisa Leslie, who runs as tight a ship as anyone in the league. Johnson won the BIG3 MVP Award in each of his first two seasons in the league.
Unfortunately, his three-peat campaign was cut short, as he took a hiatus from the BIG3 during the 2022 season. The Triplets weren’t quite able to find their way without one of the greatest players in the short history of the BIG3, finishing with a 2-4 record and missing the playoffs.
Fortunately for the Triplets and unfortunately for the rest of the league, it looks like Iso-Joe is coming back for the 2023 season. He’ll be looking to reclaim the mantle of the BIG3’s best player, and it wouldn’t be terribly surprising if he does just that. Alongside him will be a veteran team made up of the sweet-shooting Pargo Brothers, shot-blocker extraordinaire Larry Sanders, and the rock-solid Damien Wilkins.
It was a rough 2022 for the Triplets. However, with Johnson on the court and Coach Leslie guiding the action from the sidelines, this team could absolutely grab another BIG3 Championship trophy.
